 Let us introduce ourselves – we're Matt Vining and Pete Brown, and we're not just business partners; we're lifelong friends who share an unwavering passion for all things property and our beloved hometown of Nelson. Our journey began back in college at Nelson College, where we discovered our shared love for the world of construction and building.

 Pete's story takes us on a remarkable adventure, starting out as a high powerlines mechanic, a love of rugby and relocation to Sydney, Australia found him gaining his accreditation as a highly skilled carpenter in Sydney, Australia. Alongside a reputable Sydney building company, he honed his skills and specialised in high-end home renovations and stunning apartment buildings and houses from the ground up. Recognising a need in the market, Pete established a highly successful property maintenance company, assisting property owners with projects of all sizes.

 But, as they say, there's no place like home, and Pete's heart led him back to Nelson bringing his wife, Jess who also has a long history in the property world. Together, they joined forces with Matt, pooling their expertise in building, construction and property to create VB Building Solutions.

 Now, let's talk about Matt – he's a carpentry enthusiast! Ever since he was a pre-teen, Matt knew he wanted to be a builder, and he wasted no time making that dream a reality. From enrolling in the right school to completing the trade building course and securing an apprenticeship in Nelson, Matt's dedication has paid off. His forte lies in old-style renovations, where his ingenuity and problem-solving skills truly shine. But don't be surprised if you catch him pursuing other passions too! Whether it's renovating his own home alongside his partner Holly, hitting the mountain bike park, participating in sailing regattas across NZ, or tinkering away as a home mechanic, Matt's zest for life is contagious.

 We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the property maintenance and development scene right here in our beloved Nelson. And that's where you come in!
